Upcycling Sewing

Join our Upcycling Sewing Program, designed for individuals eager to explore the art of sewing while embracing sustainability. This engaging program will cover essential sewing skills, including both machine and hand sewing techniques.

In the first half of the classes, participants will focus on the fundamentals of sewing, learning how to operate a sewing machine, sew buttons, and more. Students will have the opportunity to complete up to two take-home projects during this portion of the program, ensuring they gain hands-on experience and confidence in their sewing abilities.

The second half of the program will shift its focus to the exciting world of upcycling. Students will learn how to transform pre-loved clothing into new outfits or functional items. With guidance and inspiration, participants will unleash their creativity by altering, changing, and adding to various garments. By the end of the program, students will have crafted unique fashion items or accessories that they can proudly wear and take home.
