Privacy Policy
Purpose:
The purpose of the Confidentiality Policy is to ensure the privacy of those we serve, our employees, volunteers, donors, and other stakeholders of Prairie Fusion Arts & Entertainment Inc., as well as ensuring the protection of their personal information. Principles:
-Everyone should have the right to control the collection, use and dissemination of their personal information, and all personal information should be used only when necessary
-Misuse of personal information can have potentially devastating impacts on victims
Definitions:
-Personal information includes but may not be limited to: home address and.other contact information; any identifying number such as MB health number or social insurance number; financial, banking, or personal credit information; information related to marital status, sexual orientation, health history, religion, and citizenship status
-PIPEDA: Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documentation Act - federal privacy legislation
-FIPPA: Freedom of Information and Personal Privacy Act - provincial legislation
-PHIA: Personal Health Information Act- provincial legislation
Policy:
-All personal information relating to any individual affiliated with Prairie Fusion Arts & Entertainment Inc. including clients, employees, volunteers, and donors, is considered strictly confidential. No personal information shall ever be used beyond the scope of one's work
-Anyone who has access to anyone else's personal information is expected to respect the privacy of whoever's information they have access to. Sharing personal information with anyone outside of Prairie Fusion Arts and Entertainment Inc., or with anyone with Prairie Fusion Arts & Entertainment Inc. who does not need this information as part of their duties, is a breach of this policy and may be a breach of the law
-This policy is subservient to federal and provincial legislation including but not limited to FIPPA, PHIA, and PIPEDA
